Our dedicated Coaches are ready to support and empower you to return to college and finish what you started. That’s the power of Kentucky (KY) Reconnect.

Coaching to help you return and complete college

KY Reconnect Coaches are here to support you to get back on track and work toward your educational goals. They specialize in working with students who are out of class and ready to return to their previous college or another Kentucky institution.

Coaches recognize that students take breaks from school for a variety of reasons — reasons that may be planned, unplanned or outside of the student’s control. Regardless, Coaches are here to guide and support you in making the transition back to school. They offer one-on-one holistic support through text, email and phone conversations.

KY Reconnect Coaches provide personalized guidance to help you:

Navigate next steps for re-enrollment
Connect with institutional departments and resources
Talk through the potential challenges or uncertainties of starting college again
Overcome obstacles and hurdles along the way
Identify clear and achievable re-enrollment goals
Establish strategic plans to reach those goals
Create actionable next steps to maintain momentum

If you decide to move forward with re-enrollment, you’ll continue to work with a KY Reconnect Coach as you navigate your first semester back. It’s an extra level of support to give you the boost you need to achieve your goals.

Meet your KY Reconnect Coach

Rodney Williams
(He/Him)

Rodney’s entire professional background is in higher education. Prior to joining the coaching team, Rodney worked with several Universities in advising and residence life roles. He enjoys connecting with people and using coaching to support and guide students to their fullest potential. He holds an MS in Family Studies Education from Indiana State University. Outside of work, Rodney enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends, traveling, music and baseball. Go Yankees!

Led by the Kentucky Student Success Collaborative (KYSSC) in partnership with InsideTrack, this dedicated initiative is focused on removing the systemic obstacles that stand between you and your degree. Over the next three years, Kentucky Reconnect will work across the state to identify and re-engage students who have taken a pause on their journey, providing a clear, supported pathway back to the classroom.
